We’re proud to share that Anthia Elliott, Program Director for BHN’s Domestic Violence & P.A.T.C.H. Services, was recently honored with the 2025 Leadership and Legacy Award by the Massachusetts Women of Color Network (MAWOCN) at their 8th Annual Conference, The Superhero Effect.

This award recognizes a woman of color working in the sexual and domestic violence field who demonstrates exceptional leadership and a long-term commitment to community impact. Anthia’s work at BHN has consistently reflected those values. Through her advocacy, leadership, and dedication to survivors, she has made a meaningful difference—not only within BHN but across the broader antiviolence movement. Her presence in leadership spaces, especially during difficult conversations, has been marked by courage, clarity, and a deep sense of responsibility to the communities she serves. MAWOCN recognized her for her “unwavering commitment to transformative leadership” and the legacy she continues to build through her work.
